On Thursday Room 2 went to the Art Gallery. We drew pictures of the Watt fountain using oil pastels. We made it very bright and colourful. We drew on coloured paper. It took us two hours to complete them.
Andrea, the person who works at the Art Galler,y told us the history of the Watt fountain. It was used as a water supply and was also used to put out fires. The water came from Westmere lake. We really enjoyed going to the Art Gallery!!!!

The Amazing Race
Today Room 2 spent the day at the Whanganui Museum, what a great day they had! Firstly they spent the morning finding treasures around the Museum and having a look in the basement under the Museum. They gained lots of knowledge , saw some some surprising things and came a way with lots of ideas for their family treasure. In the afternoon they completed the Amazing Race around Wanganui. There was some fierce competition, not just between the children but also the parents. First to finish was Team Bryant with Georgina, John, Bridgitte and Geordie.
As we near the end of our inquiry on "Our Place, Wanganui", we have certainly learnt some fascinating facts.
