Fordell School Duathlon

We had our Duathlon today and everyone really pushed themselves to do well. From room two Tineisha came 4th, Rebekah 3rd, Georgina 2nd and Eli 1st. Congratulations !! We are soooo proud of you and everyone else for achieving their personal best.

Mangamahu School came to watch us. It was really neat having you visit us today. You must come again.

Student of the week

Georgina was student of the week for being conscientious and completing her work as well as caring for others and being kind. These are several of our school values which makes Georgina a good role model.

Russell went to stay at Loulou's

Russell had a comfortable night at Loulou's. He must have been exhausted.

We have our paper characters on display with our characterisations. They look so great.

Paper Characters

We are learning to write characterisations. When 4 of our class went to Palmerston North to participate in the the Weetbix triathlon we stayed behind and made our own characters to write about.


A good characterisation has similes and metaphors in it, expressive verbs and some fascinating information about the character.


We really like the people we made and wrote about.

Russell went to stay at Ella's

It is Byron's 9th birthday today. Here he is being congratulated in Friday's assembly for being positive about going to Fordell school.

Russell came to visit in the car. When he arrived he had a look around at all the garden he thought he could help with all the weeding which needed doing.



Our first assembly in our new assembly hall.

Georgina is a willing worker. She works quickly, loves writing stories and always sets herself goals and moves on to the next activity quickly. She has earned two values awards in assembly this term for displaying the school values.

Ella has been working extremely hard she even does research at home. She follows ours school values conscientiously : she shows pride in her work, she responsibly does all her work, she is commited to doing well and is accountable for what she does. Well done Ella, we are proud of you and you are a good role model.

Ethan lost a tooth. We think it suits him.

Libby's birthday was on the 7th and she turned 8. Then she was the student of the week for following our school values. She is committed to doing her best.

Loulou's birthday is on Saint Patrick's day. Happy Birthday Loulou, now you are 7 !!!
