Paper Characters

We are learning to write characterisations. When 4 of our class went to Palmerston North to participate in the the Weetbix triathlon we stayed behind and made our own characters to write about.

A good characterisation has similes and metaphors in it, expressive verbs and some fascinating information about the character.

We really like the people we made and wrote about.

  1. Hi Room Two, It sounds like you have been working and thinking hard. I took Libbys pet piglet to Mangamahu School and the children had to do descriptive writing about her. Some of their writing was really cool. Libby's piglet is a Kune Kune and she is black and ginger with tassels under her chin. The children had lots of interesting things to say like: cute, fat, smelly, cuddly, sleepy and noisy. She sniffed around the class and played in the sand pit with the kids at lunchtime. She was exhausted at the end of the day. Perhaps you might meet her one day!
