Swimming sports by Georgia

On Friday I went to see the swimming sports. I could not swim because I had broken leg. It  looked like every body had fun and it looked cold. Every body did their
best.

Wanganui pictures by Kayla and Rebekah

Our Wanganui pictures are of buildings in Wanganui, our favourite places to go. Firstly we drew our pictures of the buildings. It was hard for Rebekah. Next we had to go over the pencil lines in vivid. Then we coloured our pictures with dye. We let it dry. After it had dried, Miss Whitwell stapled them to the wall above the computers. Please come and see our amazing Wanganui pictures!!!

Swimming Sports by Keegan

On Friday I was very excited because swimming sports was on. I did one length and two widths and a display, it was very tiring. After everyone was done swimming we got a free swim. I didn't stay in for long but then I remembered it was Friday, I was very happy.  I went home with Mum, that was the best day  this year.

We sang our chants, Rata started, Tawa went 2nd, Miro went 3rd and Kowhai went last. Once we finished our chants we all had to skip for 1 hour we all had fun !

Poetry By Lauren

For poetry we read two acrostic poems. One was about ice-cream and the other one was about school. Acrostic poems are when you write the subject downwards and you write something across for each letter. It has to be about the subject. I did two. One about pink and the other about my house at school, Tawa. Here is one of mine.
Perfect colour for girls!
It's my favourite colour!
Never the worst!
K ids like me need Pink!

Skipathon By George

Last week we had a skip-a-thon  so we could raise money to get our school a trampoline. It was also a house challenge the challenge was to have some one to skip for an hour, the other part to the challenge was to see who had raised the most money. No one knows whose won but the main thing  was that everyone had fun I  sure did.

Swimming by John

Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday we go swimming in our pool. There are 3 groups seahorses, stingrays and dolphins. The dolphins are swimming lengths and playing fun games. The stingrays are practicing gliding and floating. The seahorses are learning how to float and glide and are trying to get used to the cold. The other day I swam a length. I enjoy swimming because it is fun and you learn at the same time!!!
