The Ben Ten Show

The Ben 10 show

It was a very, very boring trip to Wellington. We traveled in the family's car from Wanganui to Wellington on Saturday the  second week of the holidays. Me, Mum, my little brother Ari and Dad, were going to a Ben Ten show.  We must have been hunting for a hotel about half and hour. Finally Mum remembered that she and Dad had stayed in a hotel in Wellington. So we went there and  got a room.

Then we went to Sub Way for lunch. Me and Ari and Dad got a foot long.

Then we drove to the Ben ten show. We parked our car. My body was filled with

excitement

. We walked inside the building. We saw a crowd of people as we walked inside. Some kids had little Ben ten fans and they spun a round and words showed up. We bought one. It cost twenty dollars!!!!  Then we all walked into where the Ben show  was. And then it happened. Mum only had three tickets and there were four of us. Mum searched through her bag for the forth ticket. I shivered. I could see Dad looked worried. Then she pulled the forth ticket out. That was lucky. Mum give the lady the tickets  and the lady said to go down stairs  because they had run out of seats at the top. So we went down stairs and gave the tickets to the lady down there.

As we entered we saw a huge screen and a big stage.  The  screen showed cartoon network. Soon it would change.………..soon every thing would change.  We took our seats. 10 or 20 minutes later the show started. It started off with Ben running through the forest. There were awesome costumes. In the middle of the show the lights turned on. It was a little break. A little while later the show started again. I thought the show was awesome.

After the show we quickly left the building so we didn’t spend ages crowding to get out. It was great to see the sun light when we got out.

We walked back to our car talking about the Ben ten show. Mum and Dad were entertained for the first few minutes then were bored. But I liked it.

We then drove back to the hotel. Mum and Dad had a cup of tea. Then we have a swam in the pool. It was very warm. We played in the pool for about half and hour. It was cold when we got out. We half ran, half walked with our towels around ourselves.

The hotel had a restaurant. But it cost too much money so we went to a restaurant in Wellington. It was a nice little restaurant. Afterwards we drove back to the hotel. We had a little play then went to bed.

The next morning we quickly packed and went to a café, went to a friends house and set off back to Wanganui.

I thought it was a cool trip because it was fun and exciting.

Mother's Day

On Sunday the 13 th  I got up and helped dad to get breakfast  ready for my mum  in bed. She had hot chocolate ,bacon and egg. She thought it was delicious .Then the presents came and everybody gave her cards.

When dad came down stairs he got breakfast for Me, Caleb, Hannah and himself. We also had bacon and eggs, but not hot chocolate, it was delicious.

After breakfast we all did our chores and got all ready  for church . The whole family went.

When we got back home Grandpa was waiting for us. When we got inside we had lunch.  After lunch grandpa played Fishy Fishy with Hannah. After all that hard playing of  fishing Grandpa decided it was time to play Crib with me, Caleb and Dad. It was fun. Soon after, I decided to help dad with some dinner then we fed the or chooks. The chooks were very hungry. We came inside and  Caleb and I showed Grandpa how to play Army Men and marbles. Soon after we ate dinner. Then Grandpa read stories to us  and then it was bed time.

I thought it was an exciting day because Grandpa came.

Fishing

First we went to the Wanganui wharf. We chucked our lines in and it wasn’t very long before I hooked something. It was a herring and it was big. I jumped with excitement. I was very proud of myself.
We chucked our lines in and we caught nothing else.
We went home with the fish.
It was very exciting to catch a herring. It was great fun.

Russell's Australian Adventure

Russell's Trip to Australia

My trip to  Aussie with La La

Ella had just strapped La La and I in, it was an hour to Auckland and then another five hours to Cairns. I liked playing Bejewelled Two on the game console and I also liked watching TV and watching Ella play on her DSI, she has some cool games. Once we were at Cairns airport, we took a taxi up to Port Douglas. It took another hour!!!! Come on!!

We booked into our resort and then went swimming at the resort pool.
In the morning we woke up at 6.00 am Aussie time (which is 8.00 am NZ time) so we watched a movie, then we went to the markets. We walked around all the stalls and bought some things. The next day Ella and Prue (her mum) went snorkelling on the reef. Ella said that they saw some cool coral and they also saw a starfish.
We stayed for another two nights.
Then a taxi came and picked us up and took us to Cairns airport. Ella`s godmother Paige picked Ella, Prue and I up from the airport. I had to sit beside baby Nate and Ella in the back, It was squished. When we got to Toby's retreat we put our bags in the house and went round to Paige's house and talked and talked and talked . It was fun!! Soon Nate`s father, Jude, came home from work we had tea. Yum salmon and steak!  Prue called the salmon and steak surf and turf. After tea we went back to the house, then we watched TV, after that we went to sleep.
The next day Ella, Prue and I went swimming at 9.00 am, later Paige came around with Nate. I showed Paige my Nintendo. I also played with Nate. He always copied what I did with my face so if I smiled he would.

Nate was born on Monday the 26th of February Nate was eight pounds eight and 56 cm long. He is now three months old. When Paige and Nate left Ella and I went swimming I practised my diving I accidentally did a belly flop, splash!! Prue called us inside because it was getting late. After tea I went to bed but Ella and Prue stayed up and watched TV.
Goodbye from me

Containers

We are making beautiful containers. We are really enjoying making them and can't wait to finish them.

Fun in the playground

We have a lot of fun in our playground sometimes everyone disappears into the bush and the duty teacher has trouble finding us.

Ukulele Heaven

We are practising for the Rural School's show in the Opera house June 27. Ten of us are playing Kevin Fogarty's Ukulele Heaven.

New Class Members

Gemma and Jaida are our new class students. They are a lot of fun (in spite of their serious faces). After two weeks at Fordell school it's like they have always been here.

Having Fun Researching

Lauren enjoyed finding out about plants at home and created this great display of her information.
