Going to Hospital

In the holidays Dad,  Daniel and I went to the Wanganui hospital  because I needed to get a new cast on because I had broken  my arm  on the monkey bars at school.

When we arrived at the hospital we had to wait for ages .  Finally the nurse called my name out and we went into the plaster room. She cut my  cast in half with an electric saw but it couldn’t cut skin and then I had to pull my hand out of it. Then  the nurse told us to go back into the waiting room and that the doctor would see us in a few minutes. While we were waiting for the doctor  Daniel  and I read a few books.

A few minutes later the doctor called my name out and we went into a room. I sat down on the chair. He asked me to bend my hand backwards and see if it hurts. “It hurts a little bit,” I said. He said that it was healing and that I needed to have my new cast on for three weeks.

Then he sent us into the plaster room. The lady said that there were no coloured casts. When she had finished she asked me if it was too tight. ”It’s a little bit tight around my fingers and thumb” I said. So she had to cut it off and start all over again. When she had finished she told me that I couldn’t get it wet. Then we went back into the waiting room and got a another appointment for the second of May.

Then we went to McDonalds for lunch. Daniel and I both had a chicken wrap and a drink of coke, it was delicious. When we had finished we drove back home. I really enjoyed going to the hospital and you can even write on my new cast.
